About
Description
The News Literacy Project is a nonpartisan education nonprofit that works with educators and journalists to equip students with the skills they need to distinguish between fact and fiction and understand what to trust. Their mission is to create a more news-literate America. For educators, they offer a variety of tools such as Checkology®, The Sift®, and a resource library, along with professional learning opportunities.
They also have a dedicated platform called NewsLitNation, which serves as a forum for educators and offers events and ambassador programs. In addition, they provide resources for everyone, including the RumorGuard tool, the Get Smart About News® newsletter, and a training podcast called Is that a fact? They also conduct public awareness campaigns and events focused on news literacy in the age of AI. By supporting The News Literacy Project, you can contribute to their efforts in combating misinformation and promoting a more informed society
