## Description

The Next Ecology is a Copenhagen-based consultancy and advocacy platform focused on bringing ecological thinking, nature, and justice into the way cities and landscapes are planned and built. It aims to move beyond sustainability as a slogan, supporting change that restores and protects life and is grounded in science. Its work combines consultancy, research, and advocacy for organisations seeking to create cities that serve both people and nature.

Consulting and advisory services support construction and real estate projects in meeting ambitious environmental goals, including biodiversity, climate resilience, compliance, and certification. The organisation also conducts research and publishes writing and investigations on urban nature, exploring subjects such as pigeons, green spaces, and environmental justice. Through advocacy, it builds networks and platforms—including NBS-Net, Just Warming Up, and Biodiversify—to strengthen ecological ideas and leadership.

The Next Ecology describes its approach as interdisciplinary, systems-oriented, and collaborative. Rather than applying isolated fixes, it works with clients to understand underlying challenges and develop solutions suited to their organisations.
