## Description

Welcome to The Organic Centre, a charity and social enterprise that strives to increase knowledge and awareness about organic growing, biodiversity, climate change, food sovereignty, and sustainable energy. Located on a 19-acre site in Rossinver, Co. Leitrim, our centre operates from an environmentally friendly building with a grass roof, which has been recognized with the An Taisce award. At The Organic Centre, we work with people, promoting inclusion and working for the common good. In addition to education, we are a popular tourist venue and collaborate with partners to address climate change. Our activities include providing a full-time QQI level 5 course, delivering over 80 weekend workshops, and running community gardens and therapeutic horticulture workshops. We offer volunteering opportunities in our gardens, shop, offices, and events, and we welcome students for work experience and placements. As a membership organization, we support individuals, families, and communities in learning more and getting involved in environmental issues. You can also shop from our onsite store, where we sell a wide range of organic seeds, plants, fertilizers, composts, and organic food. Additionally, we operate a small zero-waste shop. When you support The Organic Centre through purchases or donations, your contribution goes towards running the organization and developing its vital work. Our vision is to work with people and nature for a more sustainable planet, while our mission is to promote and support organic growing and sustainable living. Join us on our mission and find out more by visiting our website or contacting us.
