## Description

Jimmie Austin OU Golf Club is a golf and event destination at The University of Oklahoma in Norman, Oklahoma. Its grounds have a history dating to the early 1940s, when they served as a U.S. Navy recreational facility known as South Base. In 1949, the university began developing a golf course with leadership from OU President George Lynn Cross and design by Perry Maxwell, a renowned golf course architect and Oklahoma native. The course opened in January 1951 and remains central to the club’s identity.

The club offers golf on its course, along with golf outings and a retail store where visitors can shop for products. Its services also include memberships, dining, and spaces for weddings and other special events, with an event inquiry option for prospective hosts. The website provides information about the course, staff, guest visits, club history, and online shopping. Located at 4 Ransom Drive, the club welcomes golfers, members, and event guests seeking to enjoy its facilities and championship golf experience.
