## Description

The Poppy Pair is a mother-daughter teaching team bringing American Mah Jongg to Columbus and Central Ohio. Led by an Oh My Mahjong Certified Mahji Mentor, they create welcoming, beginner-friendly experiences that help players learn the game, build confidence, and connect around the table. Their classes are held at selected local venues across the region, including communities such as Dublin, Grove City, Marion, Powell, Worthington, and Westerville.

The Poppy Pair offers Mahj 101 for newcomers and players seeking a refresher, covering the tiles, the National Mah Jongg League card, the Charleston, hand-building, and the fundamentals of play. Mahj 102 helps those with some experience strengthen their skills through guided practice and discussion of hand choices and game decisions. Beyond instruction, the team hosts social Mah Jongg events and arranges private parties and group lessons for occasions such as birthdays, bridal gatherings, girls’ nights, clubs, and corporate groups. Sessions are designed for learning and enjoyment, with clear guidance and opportunities to play together.
