## Description

The Quadrilateral, also known as The Quad, is an independent golf publication focused on golf’s major championships and the stories connected to them. Written and compiled by Geoff Shackelford, a longtime golf writer, podcaster, television analyst, author, architect and amateur handicapper, it offers news, notes, interviews and analysis with an emphasis on insight and an unfiltered perspective.

The publication delivers a free weekly newsletter, News & Notes, every Thursday. Subscribers also receive previews of most editions, while coverage becomes more frequent during major weeks and the Ryder Cup. Paid subscriptions provide access to all newsletters, exclusive community posts, occasional product discounts and opportunities for meet-ups; a private Discord or Slack channel may also be offered, depending on subscriber feedback. The site describes The Quad as a leading golf publication on Substack and notes that it published 196 editions in 2021. Its coverage is designed to help readers become more informed fans of golf’s Grand Slam events, without pop-up ads, cookie requests or sponsored content.
