## Description

The Remarkables is Queenstown’s big-mountain ski area, offering 449 hectares of terrain around 45 minutes from town. Its slopes cater to a wide range of abilities, from gentle learner areas and cruisy trails to terrain parks, black-diamond chutes and alpine lines. With terrain designed to support progression, visitors can build confidence from their first turns or seek more challenging freeride experiences.

The mountain offers lift passes, group, private and children’s lessons, adaptive coaching, equipment rentals, and packages combining lifts, lessons and gear. First-timer options include a beginner-area pass, a group lesson and equipment rental. Families, schools and groups can also find dedicated guides and programmes, while terrain parks and touring and backcountry information support varied mountain adventures.

On-mountain facilities include cafés, bars and restaurants, including the Aperol Icebar, where visitors can take a break and enjoy views of the Wakatipu Basin. The Remarkables is part of a wider New Zealand ski offering, with passes also covering other areas, including Coronet Peak and Mt Hutt.
