## Description

Therness is an industrial technology company and official spin-off of Politecnico di Torino, focused on AI-powered weld monitoring, thermography, and quality support. Its cameras and software monitor welding processes in real time, helping manufacturers identify anomalies associated with porosity, lack of fusion, overheating, and process drift. The platform is designed to inspect every weld rather than rely only on sample-based checks, and can automatically record decisions and generate evidence to support ISO 17635 and ISO 3834 documentation.

Therness offers thermal and high-speed visual products, including HeatCore AI for inline thermography and defect classification, PoolDrop for high-frequency weld-pool imaging, and HeatCam sensors for robotic cells, pipe welding, and wire-arc additive manufacturing. Its services also include industrial and photovoltaic thermography, electrical-panel inspections, custom thermal-imaging solutions, welding-process consulting, quality AI agents, and IEC 60079 compliance support. The company helps customers install and calibrate systems, scale monitoring across production lines, and connect evidence with existing quality workflows. It also provides technical guides, demonstrations, and a free AI tool for drafting NDT procedures.
