## Description

The Running Institute is a Chicago-based sports medicine and surgery practice serving running athletes and active people of all ages and ability levels. Founded by board-certified sports-medicine podiatrist Dr. Michael J. Chin, the institute provides comprehensive care designed to support recovery, performance, and long-term participation in sport. Its team develops individualized treatment plans, with an emphasis on accurate diagnosis, prevention, and a safe return to activity. Care is delivered by sports-specific physicians, including Dr. Chin and Dr. Balu Natarajan, who is double-boarded in internal and sports medicine.

Services include podiatric sports medicine and foot and ankle surgery, sports and internal medicine, custom orthotics for athletic and everyday use, and restorative biologic injection therapy. Diagnostic and treatment options include weight-bearing 3-D CT scans, digital X-rays, ultrasound, MLS laser therapy, Extracorporeal Pulse Activation Treatment (EPAT), and Swift therapy for plantar warts. The institute also works with physical therapists who provide sport-specific exercises and treatments. Patients can request appointments, access telemedicine, and find forms and postoperative protocols through the practice.
