## Description

The Satirist is an online literary journal presenting satire, humor, and critical writing. Describing itself as “America’s Most Critical Journal” and noting that it has been published since 1999, the site features work by a range of contributors, including Dan Geddes, Martin H. Levinson, Jeffrey Meyers, and David Comfort. Its content spans news satire, essays, poems, short stories, humor, and cartoons, alongside criticism and writing on fiction, films, history, philosophy, psychology, and religion. Recent pieces parody current politics, publishing, technology, and popular culture, while other articles offer literary and cultural commentary. The site also publishes books, including The Satirist: America’s Most Critical Book, and promotes collections such as The Best of The Satirist. Readers can browse by category, explore contributor work, submit writing, and sign up for a monthly newsletter. The Satirist operates a submissions process and has advertised an internship for a submissions editor. Its website also includes links to related humor publications and notes that it may earn commissions through Amazon Associates links.
