## Description

The Modiste is an award-winning luxury bridal atelier and bespoke dressmaking studio in Buckinghamshire, England, run by women for women. Originally launched in 2016 as The Secret Fitting Room, the company brings together more than 50 years of combined dressmaking experience, with a focus on personalisation, craftsmanship and sustainability. Its team creates custom-made bridal gowns, reconstructs vintage wedding dresses and provides expert wedding dress alterations for clients across Buckinghamshire, Berkshire, Hertfordshire, Oxfordshire and London. The studio also offers bespoke dressmaking and made-to-order couture outfits for special occasions, including mother-of-the-bride looks and classic investment pieces. Clients receive a personal fitting experience in the company’s private studio suite. Through MODIFY, The Modiste transforms wedding gowns into distinctive handmade keepsakes, either repurposing the original fabric or drawing inspiration from the dress, helping clients enjoy their gown as a modern heirloom. From alterations and reconstruction to original design and dressmaking, the atelier supports brides and occasionwear clients in creating garments tailored to their vision.
