Theses is a brand that provides a system called Theses.cz, which serves the purpose of detecting plagiarism in final and graduate papers. Over 50 universities and higher education institutions in the Czech Republic and Slovakia are involved in this system, including public, private, and state schools. Theses.cz acts as a platform for schools to register their works, making their metadata and information publicly searchable. The schools have the autonomy to decide who has access to the metadata and full texts of the papers, whether it be everyone on the internet, students, or school staff, or even no one at all. Users can upload their papers individually or in bulk, with the option of integrating the system with the school's local system for automatic data import. The system supports various document formats, such as PDF, DOC, XLS, PPT, and more. Theses also offers additional services like thematic searching within the papers, automatic conversion of papers to PDF and TXT, communication tools like discussion forums, and information boards for consultations in the field.
