## Description

The Sheid, formally the Vada Sheid Community Development Center, is a performing arts and convention venue on the Arkansas State University-Mountain Home campus in Mountain Home, Arkansas. Built in 2010, the 65,000-square-foot facility brings together spaces for live entertainment, conferences, celebrations, and community events. Its Ed Coulter Performing Arts Center features 824 seats and the Dykstra Stage, while the McClure Convention Center offers 815 retractable seats and can be arranged for banquets or trade shows. The venue also includes the outdoor First Security Amphitheatre, which seats 100 for concerts and can serve as a reception space, along with the Dale Bumpers Great Hall and Trout Center for meetings or parties. Smaller gatherings can use the Haley Family Conference Room, the Ozark Regional Arts Council Conference Room, and the on-site art gallery. The Sheid presents performances, concerts, lectures, and other events, with tickets available through its box office and website. It also offers rentals for conventions, corporate functions, weddings, receptions, and other occasions, with rental information and requests available through its office.
