## Description

SWAMM, the Spatial Watershed Assessment and Management Model, is an online, open-data platform that helps communities plan and coordinate watershed conservation. It brings citizens, waterway managers, farmers, and government together to understand pollution sources and identify effective ways to reduce pollution in waterways. Its geospatial tools support evidence-based decisions while allowing users to update assessments as conditions change and preserve work for future users.

The platform provides maps of nitrogen, phosphorus, and sediment pollution, including data from the Lake Springfield Watershed Management Plan 2016. Users can explore proposed and completed solutions, coordinate activities, and securely share information through user and organization management tools. They can also select a type of Best Management Practice, map treatment areas, and calculate potential pollutant reductions. SWAMM enables users to share project details or print reports to support grant applications. A watershed dashboard brings activity together and tracks collaborative progress toward water quality goals, including Total Maximum Daily Load requirements under the Clean Water Act.
