## Description

Atom Limbs is an AI prosthetics company founded and led by tech entrepreneur Tyler Hayes. The company is developing artificial arms, with a mission to restore profound physical ability for people with limb loss or limb difference. Atom focuses on an estimated global community of 100 million people who, according to the company, are underserved by existing prosthetics. Its work centers on applying artificial intelligence to prosthetic arms; the available information does not specify product models, technical features, or services.

Hayes brings experience from technology and consumer businesses. He previously co-founded the second-generation Bebo, which was acquired by Amazon, founded Prime, described as the number-one health app in the App Store, and was an early employee at Disqus, where he led product and community teams. This background informs Atom’s entrepreneurial leadership, while the company’s central focus remains advancing artificial arms to address unmet needs in prosthetics. Atom presents its work as a response to the limited support available to people with limb loss or difference, aiming to expand physical capabilities through AI-enabled prosthetic technology.
