## Description

The Worcester Environmental Group (WEG) is a volunteer organisation focused on helping people and nature thrive together in Worcester. Its work is guided by three missions: protecting and enhancing local biodiversity, educating residents about the wildlife and natural environment in the area, and helping people connect with nature. WEG shares information about biodiversity in Worcester and promotes the Wild About Worcester Way, alongside activities supported by lottery funding. The organisation also encourages residents to get involved through volunteering opportunities and local events. Its website provides updates on its work, ways to participate, and information about donating. WEG invites people to subscribe to a monthly newsletter featuring news, volunteer opportunities, and useful ideas for making the local area better for both residents and nature. The organisation is supported by the Lottery Community Fund and is registered as a charity. Through community engagement, education, and practical opportunities to take part, WEG aims to support a healthier environment and a city where people and wildlife can flourish.
