## Description

The Wellbeing Protocol (TWP) is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to building a technology-based infrastructure that empowers and supports community self-determination. Our primary focus is deploying a participatory grantmaking tool, which enables communities to efficiently allocate external grant funding. As a registered charity, we are committed to transparency and are in the process of establishing a decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) to oversee our funding. Our journey began over three years ago, and we've achieved significant milestones along the way. These include launching the Cannon Coin trial in partnership with Ngāti Toa and Wesley Community Action, releasing a white paper, and forming a cross-government team to explore how the New Zealand government can engage with Web 3 technologies. We have also secured funding to build infrastructure for a new grant funding system with Tāne Ora, which will be launched soon.
