Think Together

Think Together is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to empowering youth through education. Their mission is to partner with schools in order to change the odds for kids. It all began in 1994, when a group of mothers in the Shalimar neighborhood of Costa Mesa decided to take action against the unsafe environment created by gangs and drugs.

They opened the doors of Shalimar Learning Center, providing a safe space for neighborhood kids to receive homework assistance after school. Since then, Think Together has expanded to over 400 schools across California, serving more than 200,000 students. Think Together offers a variety of programs and services in four focus areas to meet the needs of schools and their students.

Their nationally-recognized expanded learning programs and school improvement initiatives, delivered through affiliate partner Orenda Education, are designed to support learning both in and out of school. The organization is committed to creating a community where all children have access to a quality education that prepares them for college and career success.
