## Description

Thomas Schwieger is a German stand-up comedian and author whose work turns near-successes and everyday setbacks into comedy. His personal motto, “Werd erstmal Zweiter!” (“First, come second!”), is also the title of his current solo program, reflecting his playful perspective on coming close without quite taking first place. Schwieger has performed across Germany, appearing at NightWash and the Quatsch Comedy Club, and placed second in the NDR Comedy Contest.

Alongside his solo performances, Schwieger hosts live comedy events. His showcase “Kann man davon leben? – Ein Abend für alle ohne Plan B” brings four comedy acts to the Theater Putbus on Rügen, with Schwieger as host. The lineup features Piero Masztalerz, Alicja Heldt, Yorick Thiede, and Berlin-based US comedian Drew Portnoy. The site shares performance dates and ticket information, including upcoming dates in 2026 and 2027. Visitors can also find information about Schwieger’s work as a comedian and author, explore booking options, and sign up for his newsletter.
