## Description

The Thomistic Institute helps students and faculty engage with the Catholic intellectual tradition, drawing especially on the teachings of St. Thomas Aquinas. Its work centers on exploring enduring questions about truth, human purpose, faith, reason, and what it means to live well. The Institute aims to make profound ideas accessible without losing their depth, welcoming people from different fields, backgrounds, and beliefs.

Through campus chapters, public events, lectures, conferences, intellectual retreats, and study abroad opportunities, the Institute creates settings for learning and discussion. Its resources include Aquinas 101 educational videos, a podcast, recommended reading, and the Sed Contra journal. It also offers programs such as Credo and OCIA, along with scholarships and an alumni network. The Institute connects participants with a network of more than 200 professors and supports over 100 campus chapters. Its events, educational materials, and communities invite people to study the intellectual tradition, ask challenging questions, and pursue truth together. The Thomistic Institute is based in Washington, DC, at the Dominican House of Studies.
