# Thorgerdurmariais - **Website:** - **Primary alias:** `thorgerdurmaria.is` ## Description Landvernd is the Icelandic Environment Association, a national environmental non-governmental organization based in Reykjavík. Founded in 1969, Landvernd has a strong focus on nature conservation, particularly the preservation of soil and vegetation. Over the years, they have shifted their efforts towards protecting Iceland's unique wilderness and landscapes, especially in the central highlands. They aim to counter the irreversible destruction caused by the heavy industry's demand for energy, notably aluminum. In addition to their conservation work, Landvernd has become a leading NGO in environmental education and sustainability. They offer educational programs for children, teenagers, and adults, including half of all preschool, primary, and secondary school students in Iceland. Climate change and the impact of tourism on Iceland's delicate nature are also key concerns for Landvernd. They provide action-based courses and distribute informative material to raise awareness. Moreover, Landvernd offers various ways for public participation, such as educational programs, awareness campaigns, reviews of legislation, and organizing seminars and lectures. By joining Landvernd, individuals can support their mission of nature conservation and contribute to a sustainable society. ## Industries - 🎗 Community and Society - 🎗 Philanthropy _(under Community and Society)_ - 🧪 Science and Education - 🧪 Environmental Science _(under Science and Education)_ ## Links - [twitter](https://twitter.com/stelpurofan) - [facebook](https://facebook.com/torgerdur) - [instagram](https://instagram.com/thorgerdurmaria) ## Logos & icons - logo _(primary)_ — PNG — [download](https://cdn.brandfetch.io/id9UmCYU-b/w/180/h/180/theme/dark/logo.png?c=1bxid64Mup7aczewSAYMX&t=1778067763785) ## Colors | Name | Hex | Theme | | --- | --- | --- | | Apricot Peach | #fbcfbb | accent | | Vesuvius | #ae3e09 | dark | | Melrose | #acbeff | light | ## Fonts - Arial — asset _(custom)_ --- _Source: _ _See [/llms.txt](/llms.txt) for a full list of agent-readable pages, and [/auth.md](/auth.md) for how agents authenticate._
