## Description

Thrivemind Village (TMV) is a volunteer-led, non-profit community resilience hub in Derby, created to help people build healthy, just and regenerative lives. What began as an empty shop developed into a colourful community space where people can connect, share resources and take positive local action. Its activities include a community fridge that redistributes surplus food, a pop-up vegan kitchen serving nutritious meals, an ethical shop with regenerative gifts and organic seeds, and a changemaker bookshop. The hub also offers room hire, a children’s play area and opportunities to volunteer, learn and take part in community events. Through growing sessions at Little Chester Allotments, TMV supports fresh food production and community involvement, with no previous experience required. The organisation has also hosted monthly community chef lunches featuring local, seasonal ingredients. The Iron Gate hub has been closed for essential building works since May, with plans underway to reopen. In the meantime, the community fridge is at Derby Market Hall, and growing sessions continue at the allotments.
