## Description

The Tibetan Refugee Self Help Centre, established in 1959, is a remarkable organization dedicated to the welfare and empowerment of Tibetan refugees. Fleeing their homeland during the troubling period following the escape of His Holiness the Dalai Lama, these refugees arrived in neighboring countries with little to their name. Recognizing the need for self-reliance and rehabilitation, the Centre was founded to provide long-term support. With a deep commitment to self-help, the Centre offers a wide range of products and services. Their skilled artisans produce exquisite traditional carpets that have garnered international acclaim. Additionally, they provide training programs for craftsmen, ensuring the preservation of Tibetan craftsmanship. Beyond their craft-based activities, the Centre also offers crucial support to the sick, elderly, orphaned, and needy members of the Tibetan refugee community. Their compassionate care and dedication foster a sense of belonging and empowerment for those who have experienced displacement. Through their unwavering commitment to self-help and community support, the Tibetan Refugee Self Help Centre exemplifies resilience and the strength of the human spirit. By supporting their mission, you contribute to the preservation of Tibetan heritage and the well-being of Tibetan refugees.
