## Description

Tierrettung-Europa e.V. is a volunteer animal welfare organization dedicated to helping animals in need in Germany and across Europe find a safer future. While its current focus is on dogs, the association also supports cats, small animals, birds, and other animals facing hardship. Its work includes projects in several European countries, with particular efforts in Hungary to improve conditions for animals, including support related to the Illatos út animal shelter in Budapest. Since January 2015, the organization has also provided help in Portugal, mainly in the Azores.

The association shares profiles of dogs needing urgent assistance and helps connect animals with suitable homes. Its website provides information about the adoption process and associated fees, and invites people to offer a permanent home, foster care, sponsorship, or other support. Tierrettung-Europa e.V. also welcomes monetary and in-kind donations and provides information about its projects, goals, and volunteer opportunities. Through rescue initiatives and practical community support, the organization aims to improve the lives of vulnerable animals and give them the chance of a new beginning.
