## Description

TimeWave Studio is a creative media and technology organization focused on immersive technologies and extended reality (XR). Launched in 2010 at an Oxford-Cambridge Club gathering in London, the transatlantic initiative brought together Yale graduates and an Anglo-American team to explore how technology could transform storytelling and entertainment. In 2015, TimeWave launched New York City’s first virtual reality hackathon, and its programming has since centered on XR and immersive creative work.

After several years running XR Lab, previously known as Virtual Reality Lab, TimeWave established TimeWave Studio to create XR formats for the entertainment space. Its work and programming include projects such as M. Curie VR, The Atom Smashers, The Golden Toad, and The Red Flute. The organization also features initiatives and events including the TimeWave Festival, VR Hackathon, XR Lab, Demo Day, and Grail Game, alongside a festival gallery and programme history. Through these activities, TimeWave brings creative media artists and technologists together to explore new forms of media and entertainment.
