## Description

The Tiree and Coll Archaeology Database is an extensive online resource dedicated to showcasing the rich archaeological heritage of the Inner Hebridean islands of Tiree and Coll. This initiative aims to compile a vast array of materials, including recovered artifacts, recordings, scholarly papers, and images that reflect the islands' intriguing past. Despite being an ongoing project, the database highlights significant archaeological findings such as a tanged flint believed to date back to the Upper Palaeolithic era, a Mesolithic camp unearthed at Fiskary, and 23 panels of captivating Late Neolithic/Early Bronze Age rock art on Tiree. Additionally, it documents remarkable excavations like a Beaker grave at Sorisdale and an Early Bronze Age cast at Kirkapol. The database further features the impressive broch at Dùn Mòr and numerous crannogs on Coll, along with the recent survey of prehistoric and Medieval field systems at Ben Hynish. Designed by IsleDevelop CIC, the database serves as an invaluable tool for researchers and enthusiasts alike, promoting the understanding and appreciation of this unique archaeological landscape.
