## Description

The Tokyo Illustrators Society (TIS) is a prominent organization dedicated to fostering creativity and collaboration among illustrators since its establishment in October 1988. As a general incorporated association, TIS aims to facilitate information exchange among its members while actively promoting the art of illustration to the broader public. With a strong emphasis on the evolution of illustration, TIS organizes diverse exhibitions every year, notably at the Creation Gallery G8, showcasing innovative themes and a dynamic range of materials.

Through various competitions and public calls, TIS nurtures new talent, helping aspiring illustrators connect with established professionals. The society also engages in publishing endeavors, producing catalogs and books that highlight members' unique styles and provide insights into artistic techniques and copyright matters. TIS is committed to enhancing the visibility and appreciation of illustration art, making it a vital resource for both artists and art enthusiasts. Whether through exhibitions or publications, TIS continues to champion the growth of the illustration community in Japan and beyond.
