## Description

Tax Inspectors Without Borders (TIWB) is a joint initiative of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development and the United Nations Development Programme. It helps developing-country tax administrations build practical expertise, strengthen tax audits and investigations, and mobilise domestic revenue. In Africa, programmes are delivered with the African Tax Administration Forum, a strategic partner. TIWB’s demand-driven assistance connects local officials with experienced international tax professionals who work alongside them on real cases and tailored capacity-building needs. Its services cover international tax audits, transfer pricing, value-added tax on digital trade, criminal tax investigations, and the implementation of the Global Minimum Tax. The initiative also supports advance pricing agreements, cross-border dispute resolution through the Mutual Agreement Procedure, effective use of Country-by-Country Reporting and financial account information, and strategic tax-administration digitalisation. Additional specialist support can address industry expertise and other technical priorities. Eligible host administrations can request assistance through the TIWB Portal, while experts, partner administrations, international partners, and donors can participate.
