## Description

TJ KARATE Praha is a Prague-based sports club dedicated to Shotokan karate. Founded in the early 1980s, it was the first independent sports association in what was then Czechoslovakia to focus on karate and is among Prague’s longest-established independent sports clubs. The club offers karate training at locations in Žižkov and Modřany, with information about training schedules, fees, and enrollment available through its website and member information system.

Alongside regular practice, TJ KARATE Praha organizes events that bring together members and families. These include annual karate camps and the club’s Christmas competition, as well as participation in karate tournaments. The club shares competition results and highlights its athletes’ achievements, providing inspiration for newer and more advanced students alike. Its website also introduces aspects of karate culture and practice, including kata, etiquette, dojo principles, calligraphy, and the symbolism of belts. Prospective members can find registration guidance, while existing members and parents can access club information through the EOS system.
