## Description

Tennessee 4-H Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to creating and sustaining positive youth development opportunities for 4-H members in Tennessee. With a proud history and strong tradition in 4-H, Tennessee has the highest 4-H enrollment of any state in the nation, making it the largest youth development organization in Tennessee. Participating in 4-H has a profoundly positive impact on young people, increasing their likelihood of going to college, decreasing their involvement with drugs and alcohol, and fostering a greater sense of volunteerism within their local communities. The Tennessee 4-H Foundation supports this impactful work by providing financial support to Tennessee 4-H programs. They have assets of over $15.2 million, and each year their endowments generate over $1.7 million in awards, scholarships, and funding for youth travel to national and statewide competitions and conferences. The Foundation's mission is to help Make The Best Better by assisting Extension 4-H personnel, administrators, and volunteer leaders in their work with 4-H youth. By supporting the Tennessee 4-H Foundation, generous donors contribute to the growth and success of the 4-H program, empowering young people to develop critical thinking, leadership, communication, and social skills that will give them a competitive edge in life.
