## Description

Tennessee Watchable Wildlife is a dedicated initiative sponsored by the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency (TWRA) in partnership with the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Foundation. This program aims to support the conservation of nongame and endangered species in Tennessee through various initiatives and community engagement. At the heart of their efforts is the Watchable Wildlife Endowment Fund, established by the Tennessee General Assembly in 1994, which primarily gains funding from the sale of the unique “Bluebird” specialty license plate. This initiative has seen significant success, with over 200,000 plates sold, raising more than $5.3 million to date.

The accrued funds are instrumental in promoting wildlife research, establishing wildlife viewing locations, and supporting wildlife-related events across the state. The program not only enhances public awareness and education about Tennessee's rich biodiversity but also encourages community involvement in wildlife conservation efforts. By purchasing a Bluebird license plate, individuals contribute directly to the ongoing protection and management of Tennessee's precious wildlife heritage.
