## Description

Toyo Art School is a specialist art and design school in Shinjuku, Tokyo, founded in 1946. Known as Tobi, it has built a long tradition of art education while continually updating its programs to reflect changes in creative industries. Its courses span creative and graphic design, industrial and product design, illustration, manga, painting, and the conservation and restoration of cultural assets. Students can choose from daytime programs, including two- and four-year courses, or one-year evening programs in graphic design, illustration, and painting. Practical learning is central to the school’s approach: industry collaborations give students experience developing proposals and working through processes similar to professional projects. The curriculum also covers contemporary creative fields such as 3D computer graphics, web design, Live2D, and VTuber production. Toyo Art School supports prospective and current students through career services, admissions guidance, campus tours, open days, and individual consultations. Graduates pursue opportunities across advertising, web, games, animation, product design, automotive industries, and cultural heritage conservation.
