Transitions Magazine has been providing insightful coverage of Central, Eastern, and Southeastern Europe, Turkey, and Eurasia for over two decades. As a platform for independent journalists, we offer in-depth reporting and analysis on topics often underreported in their home countries. Our network of local and international contributors examine the news and trends shaping the region, showcasing stories that deserve attention. In addition to our magazine, we also focus on media literacy and journalism skills. With over 10,000 people trained through our programs, we specialize in traditional journalism techniques, digital skills, media literacy, and combatting disinformation. We offer both mentored and self-learning courses, as well as webinars and online workshops. Furthermore, our Solutions Journalism approach highlights effective responses to societal problems, enhancing accountability and public engagement. We provide training, mentoring, and stipends for journalists who want to report on what's working in their communities, aiming to bring about meaningful change. Lastly, we have Press Start, the first global crowdfunding platform for reporters in countries where press freedom is limited. This platform connects talented journalists with a global audience willing to invest in important stories.
