## Description

Dogtrekking.info is the official website for dog trekking in the Czech Republic, an endurance sport that combines long-distance hiking, navigation and teamwork between people and their dogs. The site introduces the sport, whose Czech history began in 2000 with the “Osamělý vlk” event in the Žďárské vrchy, and explains its principles, competition rules and practical requirements.

Visitors can find the competition regulations, guidance for taking part, event dates and information about the Czech Championship scoring system. The site lists championship-series events across the country, as well as other dog trekking activities, and provides details for organizers and participants. Events typically cover 100 kilometres or more, with 80 kilometres recognized as the minimum distance. Dogs must remain on a leash or be connected to their handler by a harness and leash; off-leash participation is not permitted. The rules also cover safety equipment, checkpoints, time limits and participant responsibility. Dogtrekking.info serves as an information hub for the Czech dog trekking community, supporting both event planning and informed participation.
