Topfspatz supports parents who want to explore “windelfrei,” or infant pottying, as a natural approach to baby care. Based around Altenstadt, the service is led by Lisa Daxer, a mother of two, certified windelfrei coach since 2024, and trained health and nursing professional who has worked in dialysis since 2013. Drawing on her professional background, personal experience and further learning, Lisa helps families understand their baby’s elimination cues and find an approach that suits their circumstances.

Topfspatz offers starter workshops, talks and individual consultations. Workshops cover the basics and biological background of infant pottying, suitable positions, clothing and equipment, and ways to handle challenges such as an “abhaltestreik,” when a baby resists being held over a potty or toilet. Individual support is available for families already practising who need help with specific difficulties. The approach can combine pottying, nappies and nappy-free periods, rather than requiring families to avoid nappies entirely.
