## Description

富士河口湖灯籠流し is an enchanting annual event held at Oishi Park in Fujikawaguchiko, Japan, celebrating the traditional Japanese custom of lantern floating. Established in 1981, this captivating ceremony invites participants to create personal lanterns to commemorate their ancestors and cherished individuals during the Bon Festival, fostering a sense of remembrance and connection.

Hosted in collaboration with local organizations and Shinnyo-en, the event draws visitors from near and far to share in this poignant experience. Attendees can enjoy a serene evening as lanterns gently drift upon the waters of Lake Kawaguchi, illuminating the night sky with their flickering lights. For those unable to attend in person, the event typically includes live streaming of ceremonial performances, although disruptions due to unforeseen circumstances, such as weather conditions, may affect scheduled broadcasts.

Join us at 富士河口湖灯籠流し to partake in this unique cultural celebration and honor the memories of loved ones amid the breathtaking backdrop of Mount Fuji.
