Toronto Community Housing (TCHC) is the largest social housing provider in Canada and the second largest in North America. With a $9 billion public asset, TCHC offers clean, safe, and well-maintained affordable homes to over 43,000 low and moderate-income households in 106 of Toronto's 158 neighborhoods. Our diverse community of 89,000 residents includes individuals from various age groups, educational backgrounds, languages, disabilities, religions, ethnicities, and races.

Notably, 38% of our residents are children and youth, 37% are adults, and 25% are seniors aged 59 and above. Additionally, TCHC is committed to inclusivity, as 52% of our households have at least one member with a disability. We strive to provide affordable housing through rent-geared-to-income, with most rents assessed at 30% of the household's gross income.

Operating funding primarily comes from rent payments and subsidies from the City of Toronto. Our mission is to connect residents to services and opportunities, fostering thriving neighborhoods where people can thrive. We operate under the guidance of the City of Toronto and are governed by a 13-member Board of Directors appointed by the City
