## Description

**Traces Project** is a pioneering digital timeline that unveils the untold contributions to arts and culture by individuals who have sought refuge in the UK from conflict and persecution. This unique initiative highlights the significant role that artists and creative practitioners, who often face immense challenges, play in enriching the national narrative and fostering collective wellbeing.

At Traces, the definition of arts and culture is broad and inclusive, covering a wide array of disciplines including design, multimedia, music, performance, photography, visual arts, and writing. By sharing diverse stories and creative expressions, Traces invites audiences to explore the layered histories of movement and cultural displacement experienced by these individuals, showcasing both renowned artists and emerging talents.

Collaborating with Counterpoints Arts and supported by UNHCR, Traces aims to create a vibrant, living archive that evolves with community engagement and educational initiatives. Through this collaborative effort, Traces seeks to reach diverse audiences and enhance understanding of the profound impact that art and culture have on society.
