## Description

Tradescantia Hub is an information and research resource focused on Tradescantia and the wider Commelinaceae family. It helps plant enthusiasts, growers, and researchers learn about these plants through articles on beginner care, growing practices, taxonomy, naming, identification, and plant science. Visitors can also explore news and announcements, fact checks, cultivar research, and in-depth features.

A central resource is the site’s official checklist of Tradescantia and Commelinaceae cultivars, with guidance on using the list and registering a new cultivar. The hub also shares information about plant collecting, cultivar identification, and the work involved in documenting and introducing new varieties. Its creator describes work as a cultivar registrar and plant breeder, connecting practical experience with research and reference material.

Additional resources explain how to cite and share the site’s information and photographs, while contact details make it possible to get in touch or offer support. Readers can help fund the site through Patreon and subscribe for news and updates, supporting continued access to its educational resources.
