## Description

TradeWinds Services is a community-focused organization in Merrillville, Indiana, dedicated to supporting children and adults with physical and developmental disabilities. Its mission is to help people of varying abilities reach their full potential with dignity, integrity, choice, and inclusion in the community.

For children and youth, TradeWinds offers childcare, summer and functional skills camps, and individualized speech and occupational therapy. Adult programs include the Adult Day Activity Program and Training (ADAPT), Transitional Vocational Training (TVT), ABLE employment services, and opportunities to build skills and earn wages through packaging and assembly, order fulfillment, sewing manufacturing, and the Sign Shop. The organization also provides residential group and supported living, respite care, Participant Assistance and Care (PAC), and Deaf Services, including sign language and interpreting.

TradeWinds serves the wider community through its Community Pantry and a Chicago Lighthouse Low Vision Clinic for Northwest Indiana residents. Families, caregivers, and community members can connect through events, volunteering, donations, and sponsorships.
