## Description

TRAFFIC is a conservation organisation focused on wildlife trade, working in India in partnership with WWF-India. It collaborates with national and state governments and other agencies to study and monitor trade, curb illegal wildlife trafficking, and help bring wildlife trade within sustainable levels. The organisation describes itself as an impartial source of expertise and a leader in conservation related to wildlife trade.

Its work includes analysing trafficking trends, supporting enforcement efforts, and building the capacity of agencies to identify and address illegal trade. TRAFFIC and WWF-India also run a wildlife sniffer dog training programme and conduct training for South Asian partners. Public awareness is another part of its approach, including campaigns about the trapping and trade of owls and information on wildlife trade more broadly. The site shares news, features, publications and TRAFFIC Post updates, alongside resources such as owl identification posters. Based in New Delhi, TRAFFIC India works to protect wildlife while promoting more sustainable trade practices. Its work covers species including sharks, elephants, tigers and rhinos.
