## Description

The Train Collectors Society (TCS) is a UK-based society founded in 1979 for people interested in collecting and exploring the history of toy and model trains. Its membership extends worldwide, and the society brings enthusiasts together through events, publications, and shared resources.

Members can read The Train Collector, the society’s magazine, including current and archived issues available through the E-Library. The online collection also features member-created e-books on toy and model train subjects, alongside articles, photographs, videos, and other hobby materials. Topics highlighted on the website include train manufacturers, railway-themed toys, and collections in different gauges.

The TCS organises shows and events, publishes event reports, and shares news and contributions from its community. Its website provides information about joining, renewing membership, upcoming gatherings, and society activities. It also offers a shop and showcases selected pictures and articles for collectors and curious newcomers alike. Through its publications, events, and member resources, the society supports interest in the collecting and history of toy and model trains.
