Defy Ventures is a national nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting currently and formerly incarcerated individuals in their personal and professional development. With over a decade of experience, Defy Ventures offers career readiness, entrepreneurship, and personal development programs aimed at empowering individuals with criminal histories to create positive futures for themselves. Transformation Yoga Project, a nonprofit based in Philadelphia, has recently announced their transition to become the first chapter of Defy Ventures in Pennsylvania.

For more than 10 years, Transformation Yoga Project has provided trauma-informed yoga programs to incarcerated individuals in the greater Philadelphia region. The partnership with Defy Ventures allows them to expand their impact and resources to help incarcerated individuals build positive plans for their future and successfully reintegrate into society. Through trauma-sensitive yoga and training programs, both organizations aim to facilitate healing, redemption, and opportunities for incarcerated individuals.

By joining forces, Transformation Yoga Project and Defy Ventures are able to leverage their shared values and expertise to create a powerful network of support and resources for those in need. This new partnership marks an exciting phase in promoting access to justice and empowering incarcerated individuals to transform their lives
