Community Transitional School (CTS) is a registered private school and a non-profit organization dedicated to providing a stable educational environment for at-risk children in Portland, Oregon. Established in 1990, CTS has been serving children in Grades Pre-K to 8 for over 29 years. Many of our students come from families living in homeless and domestic violence shelters, cheap motels, or even on the floors of friends' homes and cars.

These children face poverty and uncertainty on a daily basis. Our mission is to promote the academic and personal growth of these young individuals. CTS believes that education can break the cycle of homelessness and provide a brighter future for our students.

In line with this mission, CTS has raised funds to construct our own building and has expanded to include two fully funded classrooms since 2008. The dedicated volunteer members of CTS Board work tirelessly to ensure the smooth running of the school. We operate from Monday to Friday, from 8:00am to 4:30pm.
