## Description

Transumando is a community festival in Bressanvido, Italy, celebrating the local tradition of transhumance—the seasonal movement of livestock from mountain pastures to the valley. Created by the Pro Loco of Bressanvido in collaboration with the Pagiusco family, the event is described as Italy’s longest transhumance and is recognized as UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage. Its program combines heritage, food, agriculture, and entertainment, inviting visitors to discover, taste, and experience the area’s traditions.

The festival runs from September 24 to 27. A central highlight is the arrival of more than 300 animals after a three-day journey from Marcesina to Bressanvido, with crowds gathering to welcome the herd. The schedule also includes a food area open throughout the event, a festival focused on agriculture and green energy, and the cutting of a giant Asiago cheese wheel by Latterie Vicentine. Evening performances range from comedy and 1990s dance music to a concert by Veneto band Rumatera and a local DJ set.
