The Traversée Internationale du Lac St-Jean is a renowned open-water swimming event that spans 32 kilometers from Péribonka to Roberval, taking place every July. Established in 1955, this celebrated competition attracts swimmers from around the globe, with notable participation from athletes representing 37 countries. The event features a range of competitions, including the exciting 32 km race presented by Rio Tinto, a 10 km relay marathon for younger competitors, and shorter distances of 1, 2, and 5 km aimed at swimmers of all skill levels aged 11 and up.
