## Description

TRAX is a model railway planning brand operated by Ngongo B, a Dutch company registered with the Amsterdam Chamber of Commerce and held by Fedor van Eldijk. Its web-based design software helps railway enthusiasts plan layouts across scales, including Z, N, TT and H0, using track libraries from more than 100 manufacturers, such as Märklin, Fleischmann, Peco and Tillig. Users can place and connect track, position switches, shape flexible track and refine curves. Plans can also be shared through an interactive viewer that can be embedded on websites or model railway forums.

TRAX encourages community participation through its forum, project showcase and shared scenery objects. Its landscape-design features let users model terrain and add elements such as mountains, rivers, fields, trees, roads and buildings. The newer TRAX3D version offers fully three-dimensional layout and landscape design, alongside an import function for existing plans. The original TRAX2 server is scheduled to close on November 1, 2026, when its data will be deleted. TRAX describes its planning software as free to use.
