## Description

The Treasury of Lives is a biographical encyclopedia that focuses on Tibet, Inner Asia, and the Himalayan region. Established in 2007, this comprehensive resource offers accessible and well-researched biographies of notable individuals from the region who have passed away. The majority of these biographies are peer-reviewed, ensuring accuracy and reliability. One of the unique features of The Treasury of Lives is its dynamic map, which enhances the content and provides a visual representation of the different locations and traditions covered in the encyclopedia.

The brand has evolved over time from its original name, The Tibetan Lineages Project, thanks to the contributions of individuals like Donald Rubin, Moke Mokotoff, Matthieu Ricard, and Vivian Kurz. This ongoing development is made possible through the support of foundations, individual donors, and grants.

The Treasury of Lives is committed to providing objective and factual reporting in its biographies, highlighting the historical and inspirational value of the lives of individuals in the context of Buddhism. Moreover, the brand acknowledges the importance of addressing allegations of abuse and misconduct, ensuring transparency, the healing process, and prevention within the community.
