## Description

TREAT is a community-based organization focused on revegetation efforts in the Wet Tropics of Far North Queensland, specifically on the Atherton Tablelands. Since 1982, TREAT has been growing and planting rainforest trees native to the area in partnership with local landowners and the Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service. Their goal is to restore landscape function and educate and inspire others about the importance of revegetation. As a volunteer, you can get involved at the nursery or participate in tree planting activities. TREAT also offers workshops on tree identification and seed propagation. The organization is committed to acknowledging and respecting the traditional custodians of the Wet Tropics, the Rainforest Aboriginal people, and actively involves them in the management and protection of culturally significant places. If you're passionate about conservation and restoration, TREAT provides an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the environment.
