## Description

TREC Renewable Energy Co is a leading brand in the renewable energy industry in Canada. As a non-profit cooperative, their mission is to advance community power by supporting co-ops, Indigenous communities, and social enterprises. TREC offers a range of products and services to achieve their goal of a 100% renewable energy economy. One of their flagship projects is SolarShare, Canada's leading renewable energy co-operative, which develops photovoltaic renewable energy systems across Ontario. Residents and businesses can invest in these projects and earn up to 6% interest. TREC also focuses on renewable energy education through Relay Education, a Canadian charity that provides interactive energy education programs to youth and communities. Another innovative project by TREC is WindShare, which operates Canada's first urban wind turbine located at Exhibition Place in Toronto. Additionally, TREC supports other co-ops and non-profits in raising and managing community investment through Tapestry Community Capital. With their commitment to community power and their diverse portfolio of projects, TREC Renewable Energy Co is at the forefront of driving the transition to a sustainable and renewable energy future.
